Counter Strike is a well-known first-person action game, in which you play as a soldier who will have to combat fearful and well-armed terrorists.

Counter Strike is the most renowned shooting videogame in the genre, since it innovated in several areas: the game system, its powerful graphics engine, the large number of training modes and the support for the LAN and for the Internet.

The main system in Counter Strike is based on the competition between two teams. Each one must fulfill individual missions, and also eliminate the enemy. The players have an energy level and weapons. Before each scene it is possible to buy items such as armor, new ammunition or improved weapons. If a user loses all his life points in combat, the mission is considered as failed and he dies. In case of death the player must wait for the game to finish without being able to relive.

The realism and freedom within the scenes are surprising, since it is possible to access every corner, and get to the very top of buildings. The damage system is very well-designed, since shooting at a leg doesn’t produce the same effect as shooting at the head.
